TAYLOR EXPRESSIONS 84

Good morning stampers,
Here I am again with another challenge! I am in LOVE with them...it really helps me to be creative for myself. I used to be a blog lurker now I find myself coming up with my own designs much more often. (Though I still love to lurk on blogs and see everyone elses fabulous work!!!)

Anyhoo,
Stamp set: Serene Snowflakes, christmas punch
Paper: soft suede, riding hood red, whisper white and DSP Christmas Cocoa
I also used the scallop die from the big shot and the boho flower punch to punch out all the snowflakes.

STAMPING 411 #118

Good Mornin to ya!
I hope everyone is doing well, this Monday morning.
Yeah for me, I had time to play alittle this weekend and I did a few challenges. Here is the Stamping 411 challenge card. I kind of flipped it alittle.

Stamp set: Heard from the heart
paper: night of navy, bashful blue, whisper white (wow, there is no Dsp paper, that's unusual for me!)
I used the finial press embossing folder for about three quarters of the card.
The ribbon is white organza, bashful blue and silver cord.

Look at the new snowflake punch!!! Can we all say aahhh!!! Anyway I did this by layering the white and bashful blue punches and then I cut of the ends of the night of navy to give some dimension to the snowflake. Of course I had to top it off with some bling, a filigree brad!

Our Creative Corner

Goodmorning my favorite people!
I was trying to use up some of my scraps again and found this oval frame in my bunch....so I put it to good use for a challenge at Our Creative Corner. The challenge this week was to make a monochromatic card.
I really like the look of this card. And the butterfly is one of my favorite dies! The color is purely pomegranate.
Big shot butterfly die, oval frame die, finial press embossing folder.
Look how pretty this looks up close! Loving my embossing folders!!!
I left this card sentiment free so when I am in need of a card I can put whatever fits then.

Halloween frights

Good mornin to ya,
Well since I have shone you both of my girls bday cards I should show you my sons as well. Yes, his birthday is on Halloween! He will be a big 14 this year! I did not plan my pregnancies very well, all three kids are the end of October, the 26th (twins)and 31st. I figured this is probably the last year I can get away with a cutesy card!!! I had used the top note die for our projects last month and since I can not throw anything away... this was the start of my card. I knew I wanted both a Halloween theme and a birthday theme so...a crazy cupcake made sense to me!!! This is the Big Bold Cupcake sizzlit die set. I used the birthday outside of the wow stamp set and then added the Halloween fright. I also embossed the weird circle stamp with clear EP and dazzling diamonds mixed together.
The card is very busy...just like my son!!!! I think he will enjoy it, one can only hope at this age!

TSSC87

Goodmorning to ya,

Well here is another sketch challenge. What can I say, I am having so much fun doing them!!!

I really like how this card came out. As soon as I saw the sketch I knew I wanted to use this stamp set....it has been neglected for quite some time now!

I think I have a thing going on with birds, I seem to be drawn to the stamp sets that have them.

Here is a close up of the bird. I added some of the champagne shimmer paint and a bead to the eye. Just love these paints, they add just enough bling for me!

Stamp set: Its a Stretch
paper: chocolate chip, taken with teal, whisper white, and Autumn Meadow DSP
perfect details texturz plate, birds & bloom sizzlit

My Digital Scrapbook

Good morning stampers,
oooh, look what I got in the mail this weekend!!! This is my first attempt at an all digital scrapbook with our new My Digital Scrapbooking program.

This is an 8x8 hardcover album. It was soooo easy to upload the pictures and just click them into the pages that I wanted. You can do so many different things with this program it is amazing. I chose to keep it simple by using their premade pages. The design I chose comes with 13 different pages and then you can make your own or repeat the pages,
is what I did.

I received my finished product in less than a week!!

Sorry about the glare on the pages I couldnt get them to photgraph any better...anyway my snapshots are not important to you, I just wanted you to see how cute the page layouts are!

STAMPING 411 #117

Hi there ladies,
Here is my submission for the stamping 411 challenge.
My daughter will be 10 next month and she loves skulls (all the rage right now!!) So I started with this stamp set to make a card for her. I wasnt sure at first...I had a hard time with this sketch for some reason, but I like how it came out and most importantly I think she will too. My other daughter (her twin) saw it and thought it was "really cute" and wanted to know where her card was.... you saw it last week for the challenge (she's all about monkeys) but I told her I didnt have one yet!!hehe such a sneaky mom!
Anyway enough babble:
Stamp set: Just jawing
Paper: so safron, old olive, brilliant blue, melon mambo, and the tall tales DSP paper
I cut out the skull and then recut out the teeth in white. I used chunky glitter on the eyes and cut out an extra flower for the tip of the birthday hat.

POST IT HOLDERS

Good morning all,
So here is another project I worked on last weekend trying to use up some retired paper and some of my gazillion supplies I have accumulated for projects I just know I'll do someday! No one else does that right???
I made a couple of post-it note holders using some plastic 4x6 frames.
I
For the first one I used the simple flower embosslit for the big shot
Paper: barely banana, bashful blue, and kraft the DSP is from last. years sellabration and so is the ribbon

The second one i used the butterfly die for the big shot and the finial press embossing folder ( I also used another brands on the bigger butterfly) and the little leaves sizzlit die.
The colors are chocolate chip, groovy guava and certainly celery. I don't remember which DSP this is...but its pretty old because it is only one sided.
I haven't put a post it on it yet because I am going to try to find one that sort of matches the guava!
Look how pretty the butterflies look embossed! Can you tell that I absolutely love my big shot!!!

Gift bags

Goodmorning stampers,
I have been working on a ton of projects, trying to use up some of my (beautiful) retired DSP paper. I am such a hoarder...I buy it, then it just sits in the cabinet because I'm afraid I will run out!! How silly is that!
Anyway, the next few posts
will probably have retired DSP and I apologize for that but it really is the idea that counts, right!
These are a couple of gift bags and 3x3 cards to go with. I will be putting a gift card in each for a birthday party my girls are going to. I loved these colors last year!!!! This is the fancy favor box/bag for the big shot. I also used the cherry blossom embosslit. The colors are Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss and the DSP is Hawaii Papaya.
If you look closely you can see I used the reverse image of the cherry blossom on the cards!! never waste anything!

SWEET CENTERS

Goodmorning stampers,
I finally got a chance to play with my new sweet centers stamp set and treat cups. My club made the halloween card last week and the flower card was another sample for them to see the product!
The treat cups are really cute but take alittle practice to get them even on the cards...it wasnt until after I made these that I thought about putting a small piece behind the candy first and then adhering to the next layer.

Hi there stampers,
These are projects my club made last night. All the gals had such a good time making all the goodies. I haven't bought the new DSP paper from this catalog so the paper is all retired. I still think they're cute!
I used the fancy favor big shot die, the lid of the matchbox die, top note die, scallop bag die, misc punches and ribbon.
Stamp sets: Holiday best, Batty for you, all holiday

Here's a close up of the box using the fancy favor big shot die. I just love this wide striped ribbon. It adds alot of fun to a project!
