Good evening ladies,
I had a little bit of fun today working on this sketch. I just got this stamp set and I couldnt wait to use it. I just love the bird! But I couldnt decide which color skeme I wanted so...I made two cards! The first card I used black and real red. I embossed the bird image with black EP and gave the white CS a shimmer with the new shimmer paints in the holiday mini. the second card I used pretty in pink and chocolate chip CS. I watercolored the flowers around the bird with pretty in pink and certainly celery. Its hard to see in the picture but there is also a chocolate chip cordorouy button in the center of the white grommet.

MEDALLION STAMP

Goodmorning stampers,
I am just in love with this medallion stamp. From the first time I saw it, I knew I wanted to emboss it. I used bermuda bay and whisper white CS . I stamped the image with versamark and embossed with white EP. I also embossed a second medallion in clear EP. I cut out the center of that and added it to the white one. a large white grommet and clear brad were added to the center. White taffeta ribbon finished off the card.

MOJO 101

Good morning stampers,
Yesterday was one of my good friends and neighbors birthday. "Happy birthday Stevie!" So with that in mind I made this card for her. She is a wonderful 19 years old so I wanted something cute but not too childish.
Stamp set: Just Jawing and scary skulls wheel
paper: pink passion, whisper white, black
the ribbon is retired regal rose sponged with black, mambo melon and black gingham
I used the versemark ink for the wheel and added my favorite stickles on the eyes and bones!
Oh yeah, did you notice the fun rock and roll technique on the top You rock?

LOOK HOW CUTE!

Good morning stampers,
Today I wanted to show you some really cute projects my daughters were working on for school. They each had to make an All About Me poster for their class and this is what they came up with.
Lindsey loves monkeys so she just had to put the big shot monkey on her poster. She is also very big into soccer and chose the soccer stamps to decorate with.
Dont you love how she backed each picture! Very colorful!
Hayley is all about different colors! She chose fun backings and also wanted the stamps to be colorful too. She also really loves icecream! I tease her that she is going to turn into an icecream before long.

Here is a close up of her icecream. I took the close to cocoa paper and ran it through the crimper in both directions to make the cone. I used the big shot scallop die to make the icecream layers, chocolate chip, vanilla, and strawberry (aka pretty in pink) Hayley always has sprinkles so we added some colored beads to the top. And of course you cant forget the fudge...I used crystal effects to the edges and cut out some chocolate chip "drippings"
Oh and I used the scallop punch to take a bite out of the top!

I HEART 2 STAMP SKETCH

Hi there stampers,
I have just been a very creative mode the last few days!!! Yeah for me!! I just love doing all the challenges and sketches....so here is another one.
There is actually very little stamping on this card, unusual for me!
I used the razzle dazzle set to stamp the little flowers and a retired set *cant think of the name* for the center of the main flower.
Paper: Melon Mambo, crushed curry, razzleberry and the razzleberry lemonade DSP. How do you like my brads? they are melon mambo punched out with the 1/4in punch and crystal effects added to make them shiny!

Hi there stampers,
How is everyone's weekend going? Here is my take on the stamping 411 sketch. I think I am so ready for fall...these colors and sets keep calling my name!
I think I am wishing for snuggly, hot cocoa weather...or at least being able to open up all the windows and get a nice breeze!
I used the Branching out stamp set and the sentiment from the individual stamp Gobble gobble
Paper is so safron, dusty durango, chocolate chip, whisper white and the tall tales DSP.

MOJO FRIDAY

Hi there stampers,
I was having a good time doing all the mojo monday sketches this week! Here is another one for you.

I used the beautiful Medallion stamp set and the Kind and Caring thoughts stamp set
The paper is confetti white, soft suede and Thoroughly Modern DSP.
I stamped the medallian with the versemark and used clear EP. I also stamped off with soft suede on the confetti white.

I like how this came out. It would make a nice masculine card.

SCALLOP ENVELOPE DIE

Goodmorning stampers,
This is a project that my club worked on last week. I have seen alot of these cute little bragbooks on the net and had to make one for myself! What a cute grandma, auntie, friend gift that is pretty simple to make. I was thinking about school pictures myself because of the size but you can pretty much print your own size of any picture nowadays. (Wow did I really sound that old!) This is what the book looks like sort of opened. It only has three pockets but you can put pictures on each side of them.
Here is the inserts pulled out. It is a fairly small space to work with but thats what makes it a perfect purse book!
I used Tall Trees DSP, rose red, chocolate chip and so saffron CS. I cut off about a half inch of the end flap and attached two brads to hold the book together. And ofcourse gotta have that fun ribbon to finish it all up!

MOJO 100, MOJOMARIA

Goodmoring Stampers,

I finally got a chance to work with a couple of the mojo sketches.
This card came out so pretty! The color combination really came together beautifully.

Stamp set: Always
Paper: kraft, sage shadow, soft suede, whisper white and parisian breeze DSP (retired)
I used the finial press embossing folder on the sage shadow paper. There is also a clear brad in the flower on the bird. Its hard to see but the bird also has a light coat of stickles glitter.

Here is the first Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I really like this stamp set..it is so much fun. As I was making this card I realized that I tend to use the beer stamp the most!! Hmmn, is that because thats what my hubby drinks?
Stamp set: Cheers to You
Paper: so safron, not quite navy, whisper white and the new Build-A-Bear SDP paper (in the holiday mini)
I used crystal effects on the mugs and its hard to see in the picture but I also used the new shimmer paint on the foam. Very cool!

ELEGANT BOUQUET EMBOSSING FOLDER

Goodmorning Stampers,
I am really liking the new embossing folders. I find that it makes cards so easy and adds just the right touch! So here is a card I made using the Elegant bouquet folder and the Thoroughly modern DSP (which I also love!) The colors on this DSP paper are so much fun to work with and very pleasing to the eye. It just makes me want to smile! The base of the card is kraft and the embossed image is Melon Mambo. I also used the Teeny Tiny stamp set for the sentiment. Scallop edge punch and all the oval punches, and of course some fun polka dot ribbon in soft suede.

STAMPING 411 #112

Hi there stampers,
I finally got time to stamp alitttle this morning!! Here is my take on the Stamping 411 sketch this week.
As I've told you before I have a very good friend who has moved to Canada...so with her in mind I made this card.

I used One of a Kind,Cold & Cuddly, and Hard to Say stamp sets
Basic grey, black, whisper white CS and the new Night and Day DSP (love it!)
I stamped the images of the animals and then cut them out and popped them up. I also made two of the signs and cut one out to face the other way.
I added a filagree brad and fire red square brad and the gingham black ribbon.
This is the sentiment that I put inside. They had to move for work not because that is where they wanted to necessarily go.
Well thanks for looking, hopefully she will smile when she opens the card!

HAPPY CAMPER

Hi there stampers,
We spent our vacation this year in Lake Tahoe with my brother and sister-in-law. To thank them I made this fun card for them. We had many visits from the bears at our campground so I thought it was very fitting to have the bear coming out of the trailer!
I used the happy camper stamp set and pines stamp set
chocolate chip, old olive, whisper white and some retired DSP
I used my hobby blade to cut out the door on the trailer and colored in the windows to look like light inside. I also masked the trailer so I could put the trees behind it. Then I popped the bear out of the door and made him holding the lantern with linen thread.

GIFTS

Goodmorning stampers,
It is so good to be home with my family. I enjoyed convention and my time away tremendously but its always nice to come home to a welcoming family!!
Here are a couple of gifts I made for my friends and roommates in Salt Lake. I made them the notebooks with some beaded pens (not pictured) I covered the notepads with DSP. I used the daisy #2 big shot die for the flower on the left and the scallop punch and flower sizzlit die for the one on the right. I punched with the word window punch and added a strip of cardstock to make the closure and then added the sentiment to the strip. I also made them a cute matching bag with the new fancy favor die and the butterfly die. Inside I put a small bottle of hand sanitizer, lip balm, mints and gum. I just love how easy it is to make really cute projects with the big shot!!

CONVENTION PART 2

Hi again,
I have a couple more pictures to share.... Here I am with my convention buddies/roommates Liz and Stacy. This is the theme of convention this year and I really like it. In my opinion this is what stamping and Stampin' Up! is all about!!! Look...here is one of my cards!!!! It was so exciting to see them up on the display boards. I actually had 4 that I found...Woo Hoo for me!!

CONVENTION

Here I am at convention waiting to get into the momento mall!!! Woo Hoo! Coffee and swaps...gotta love it!
Look at the line at 8am this morning! People were actually there waiting at 5 am. thats alittle early for my body!

KIND AND CARING THOUGHTS

Goodmorning Stampers,
Woo Hoo!! Today is the first day of convention! I
be checked in and standing in the momento mall line about now!
Here is another one of my swaps. Again I was doing a 6x6 tech swap and made some cards to go along with it.
This is the cracked glass technique. Its kind of hard to tell in the picture but the flower image is cracked.
For this tech you use glassy glaze embossing powder. You stamp your image and then versamark the whole paper use the glassy glaze and heat set. Let dry. Reversamark and use glassy glaze two more times. Put in freezer for a few minutes and remove, bend paper and the embossed powder will crack. If you dont like how it cracked reheat and refreeze, then crack again!
kind and caring thoughts stamp set
old olive, rich razzleberry, whisper white and razzleberry lemonaide DSP
glassy glaze embossing powder
razzleberry polka dot ribbon
