Butterfly

Goodmorning stampers,
The other day I showed you a card with beagles on it. I loved this layout...so I decided to make another card with the same style.
Some of my favorite things right now are birds and butterflies. I can spend hours (though I never really have more than a minute) watching the hummingbirds at the 3 feeders I have in our backyard. I am lucky enough to live in Southern California so they visit me pretty much year round!
I found this stamp set at that lady with a J's store. It is a Inkadinkado clear set. Well there is like over 20 images of all different kind of winged creatures and I just fell in love with it!!
This card just says "Spring!" to me. Hope ya like it!

A Note of Thanks

Hi there stampers,
O.k. so I have a beagle...she is the cutest thing ever....but she is a hound...so that means she eats anything she can get her hands on. Gigi is a big ol' pig!!! She finds the kids socks and eats the toes out o them....she gets ahold of water bottles and chews them to shreds...she has even been known to get ahold of some of my stamping products and eat them. So I had to make an emergency visit to the vet a couple of weeks ago. Gigi got a bottle of my thyroid medicine and ate the whole months supply!!
I know, you are saying how the heck did she do that? Well, its always on my night stand and she has never bothered it before. The only thing I can think of is that the kids knocked it on the ground somehow and she just went to town on the bottle.
So this is a card I made to thank the vets office for their help pumping her stomach and feeding her IV fluids all day.
Now my husband says, "why are you sending them a thank you when we paid them a small fortune?"
True, yes...but the thank you is for the fact that my little mischievous beagle is home safe and sound (until the next emergency!)

Easel card

Goodmorning stampers,

Today's card was made for my friend in Canada who I miss so very much. I try to send her a card every few weeks so she knows I haven't forgotten her.

I used a stamp set by There She Goes.

Awash with Flowers

Goodmorning stampers,

Todays card was fro the stamping 411 color challenge. the challenge was to use old olive, basic black, rose red, and regal rose. I just love this color combination! It makes me feel very springy and the black just makes the colors pop!

We made a card similar to this last weekend at my sideline meeting. Thank you to Tricia Hicks who showed us this wonderful masking/brayering technique. Sometimes I get so caught up in the "new" wows that I forget about the old standbys.

The face of the card was done by stamping the line images in black on white CS. Then stamping the same images onto a post it note (make sure you are stamping where it is sticky) cover the images with the cut out post its and then brayer the whole face of the card. Remove the post its and use the 2nd step of the two step stamp set to fill in the color that you want. I chose to leave some blank because I thought it looked neat with some white too!
I also added some dazzling diamonds because you just gotta have some bling!

I have seen so many really cute baskets made out of this die. And I knew I wanted to make a Easter basket out of felt.
I used brown felt and cute it out with the Baskets and Bloom die. I then used white thread and quick stitched the basket together. I added some of the really cute Sweet Pea stitched felt flowers and some rose red stitched ribbon. Isn't it just darling??!!

Goodmorning stampers,
This is a card I made for my sideline meeting last weekend. The theme was a spring card with no sentiment. That way it can become just about any kind of card we wanted! I cased it from
Carrie Hunt. so I must give her credit for this beautiful card!
I did change up the color and add a few more butterflies but for the most part this is her work.
Stamp Set: Thoughts and Prayers
paper: whisper white, melon mambo
old olive and melon mambo markers
beautiful butterflies die, perfect polka dots embossing folder, beautiful wings embosslit and melon mambo polka dot ribbon

Goodmorning stampers,
Today I wanted to show you a sample of our definitely decorative line. I received this vinyl piece at Leadership for a door prize. Isn't it cute?
It is called Blossom Tile.
This line of vinyl is so easy to work with and looks gorgeous on just about anything! I put this on a 6x6 tile and added some chocolate chip stripped ribbon. This makes a very cute gift!

Flower Fold Die

Goodmorning stampers,
todays card was a sample I used to show a customer the flower fold die. I just love that die!! It is so versatile, you can use paper, cloth, felt, tin foil and more with this die and they all come out very cute!
After I made the flower I couldn't just leave it by itself so this is what I came up with.
I used a retired DSP paper, but it was one of my favorites. I love these colors!!!
Stamp set: well scripted
paper: (all retired) groovy guava, river rock, ginger blossom DSP
groovy guava ribbon, kraft corduroy button and some linen thread

crazy for challenges

Goodmorning stampers,
Here is a card I made for a couple of challenges. The Crazy for Challenges blog and the Pals Paper Arts
The Crazy for Challenges blog was to use at least 3 different textures. I think I accomplished that! And the Pals Paper Arts was a series of pictures all showing different birds and we were to make a card using those images as inspiration....so since I just love birds, and especially hummingbirds, this set fit perfect!
Stamp Set: Spring Song
paper:rich razzleberry, orchid opulence, chocolate chip, whisper white, cottage wall DSP
scallop die #2, circle scissors plus, large oval and scallop oval punch
I used my watercolor pencils to color the image and then used a blender pen to blend the colors out.

Gift bag

Goodmorning Stampers,
Today I wanted to share with you a really cute gift bag. I made this for a fellow demonstrator who is having some health issues. A few of us from our group got together and brought her some things (snuggy, soft socks, a fuzzy bear) so the bag was pretty big. I think it came out pretty cute!
I used a full sheet of Sweet Pea DSP and added some taken with teal to the sides to make it long enough. I added some scallop trim to so Saffron paper on the top. I made a scallop flower with all the different circle punches and added a cordorouy button to the middle. I did the same to the other side of the bag too.

stencils

Goodmorning Stampers,

Here is a sample today made with the new stencils. I have had this for a while (I actually won it at a swap night at convention) and I just never used it.
Wow, I just love it!! First I stenciled the image using chocolate chip pastels, then I used the retired french script background stamp for the top section of the card. Then I sprayed the stencil image with my champagne shimmer paint. It looks so pretty in real life!!! I added the butterflies and sprayed them with the mist as well.

Paper: very vanilla, chocolate chip, pretty in pink
