TRIPLE SLIDER

Hi Stampers,
Wow, I am so excited about this card!! It came out so stinkin cute! Again wasn't sure what to do with these papers but the balloons kept popping out at me, so...I pulled out my trusty double slider instructions and got to work. Problem was the green balloon was too big for the second slide, so I made a triple slide and cut the balloon in half! Didn't it come out cute??!!
First picture is of the card closed...

Second picture is of the card opened!!

Here is an upclose picture of the sentiments on the balloons and the pull tag. I wish I could have come up with something better for the pull but couldnt think of anything else.
Stamp sets:On Your Birthday, teeny tiny wishes
old olive, crushed curry, melon mambo CS, tall tales DSP. Chocolate chip taffeta ribbon.

Hi there stampers!

Stamp set: cheap talk (sentiment only)
so safron, chocolate chip, brilliant blue and whisper white CS. Tall trees DSP. chocolate chip taffeta ribbon and large chocolate brads finish it off.
I cut out the ballon and popped it with pop dots and sponged the white with alittle bashful blue to look like a sky.

SATURDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE 105 #2

Hi again!
Here is my second card for the Stamping 411 sketch challenge. I really love the outdoors. My family and I do alot of camping in the forest, so everytime Stampin' Up! comes out with a new tree set I just get giddy! I just love the Trendy Tree stamp set. It is so funky and fun to play with!

Recipe: Trendy Tree stamp set, Dusty durango, whisper white CS, razzleberry lemonade DSP. Dusty durango, old olive, close to cocoa ink.

The technique is rock and roll. You stamp the image in one color (old olive in this case) and then rock and roll the edges in another color (dusty durango). It is a very easy tech but gives the stamped image a very fun look!

SATURDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE 105

Hi Stampers,
I am having so much fun with the Stamping 411 sketch challenges! Here is this weeks sketch and my cards...yes, I got a little carried away and made two! The second card will be in another post.
I was not thrilled with the new in colors for the upcoming Stampin' Up! catalog, but I have made myself use the papers and colors. Well, what do ya know I actually like them!

for this card I used the Circle Circus and Smarty Pants stam sets. Melon mambo, crushed curry,
whisper white CS and razzleberry lemonade DSP. I also used the beautiful polka dot ribbon in crushed curry!

Here is a close up of the flower. I stamped the large scallop stamp in melon mambo, crushed curry, and razzleberry then I took my scallop, 1 3/8, and 3/4in circle punches and punched each section out and layered them together. I added a clear brad for some extra bling! Oh and I used the big shot to punch out a big scallop in melon mambo.

CLOSE UP CIRCLE CIRCUS

Here you can see alittle better how the glassy glaze makes this card shine.
It made the colors just pop out after I embossed it.

CIRCLE CIRCUS

I just love how these cards came out!! When I first saw this set I knew that this was one of the techniques I wanted to try. Doesn't it remind you of a church with big stained glass windows??? It is just beautiful in person!
I used not quite navy, razzleberry, crushed curry and whisper white CS and ink. I colored in each stamp with the great new in color markers (and not quite navy) then I imbossed the whole piece with glassy glaze EP powder. It was my husbands idea to make the second card look like framed windows. Im not sure which card I like better??

FIFTH AVENUE FLORAL EMBOSSED

I saw this card on someones blog but I apologize because I cant for the life of me remeber who...
The roses were embossed with white EP and then sponged with regal rose, apricot appeal, so saffron and kiwi kiss ink then cut out. I used so safron and white CS and walk in the park DS paper. The roses are placed around the sentiment and popped up with dimensionals.

ANOTHER FATHERS DAY

Hi again!
Here is another Father's Day card I made for my father-in-law. this set is from Papertrey Ink. I just love all the sayings that it has.
I used chocolate chip, creamy caramel, old olive paper and ink.

FATHERS DAY

Well since Fathers day is this weekend I thought you'd like to see my cards for my hubby. This set is from Our Craft Lounge and is called Bear-ly Fishin'. Since my husband is a HUGE fisherman it only seemed fitting for him. He is always complaining that I make the same size cards all the time so this card is 81/2x11 folded in half. I dont even have an envelope big enough for it!!!

TEACHER GIFT

Here is a teacher gift I made for one of my daughter's teachers. I got the idea from somewhere but I apologize I dont remember where!
The stamp set is from papertrayink. It is an awesome set with lots of great sayings in it. The paper is from the tart and tangy papers (retired)
It has a bunch of questions in the jar and the idea is for the teacher to pick a question and journal the answers. At the end he/she should have an idea of their journey as a teacher.

BRAYERING MANHATTAN FLOWER DIE

I shared how to brayer at my last hostess club and these are the cards we made.
For this card I used pretty in pink, regal rose and rose red for the brayering layers and then I sponged on alittle more rose red into the edges and center of the flowers.

This one I used summer sun, more mustard, and really rust

This one I used pretty in pink, regal rose and rose red. for this one I brayered the blank cardstock first and then used the die and then took the raised side of the paper and brayered the rose red. I really like the effect of this look!
