Backwoods

Goodmorning stampers,
Are your bellies still full?? Did you eat lots of turkey and pumpkin pie?
Todays card I made for my wonderful husband to thank him for just being him! He is a big outdoorsmen, loves to fish and would be very happy living in a cabin in the mountains...so here is his "vacation home".
I used chocolate chip, close to cocoa and whisper white paper
Stamp set: Backwoods and teeny tiny wishes
I masked the moon using the 1 1/4 punch then brayered the sky and the grass/ground. The tree in the forground is cut out and popped up for more depth.

Happy Thanksgiving

Goodmorning stampers and Happy Thanksgiving!

Look at all these cards! These are all the cards I mailed out to my friends and family this week.
Today is a day to reflect on what we are thankful for....
I am so thankful for my family. That we are all healthy and happy. For my husband who is always so supportive of my stamping obsession! For my friends who put up with me and my quirks and support me anyway. And for my fellow stampers who always amaze me with their talent and creativity.
Have a wonderful turkey day!

ornament punch

Goodmorning stampers,
After seeing all the creative ways all you crafty stampers have been using the embossing folders, I decided to play alittle myself.
I also used a nontraditional color since I seem to be using alot of red and green lately.
I used bermuda bay and whisper white cardstock.
I used the petals a plenty embossing folder on alittle under half of the card and then I also ran my ornaments through with the same folder. I embossed the sentiment with white EP and added some white taffeta ribbon and silver cord.
This was a very easy card to make and is very pretty to look at!

Goodmorning stampers,
Yesterday I showed you the cards we made at my club last weekend. I wanted to highlight this card. I absolutely love this fold. I received a swap at convention this year using this fold and it is so fun!
I used some retired DSP that I still have around. Along with real red, bordering blue and whisper white
I used the snowflake die for the big shot and also the snowflake punch. I added a build a brad to the center.
I just love how this turned out!

Here's what it looks like open!

Decrative Tile whiteboard

Goodmorning stampers,
Well today I thought I would post something other than a holiday card!!
The way I'm going I will be working on Valentines by December!
Anyway I made this tile into a dry erase board. My club will be making these tonight for one of our projects!
Anyway, just stamp the tile in whatever design you may like and then use clear embossing powder over the top of it. Bake for 10 minutes.
Attach some ribbon to hold the marker and walla! I put mine on a photo holder but you could also put some felt on the bottom and lay it flat, or add a long piece of ribbon at the top to hang it on a wall.
hint: only erase around the image...and don't use water,I did have some of the color come off when I cleaned my writing. but only in the spots where the embossing powder did not stick.

flower folds

Goodmorning to ya,
Today I have made some adorable flower pins using the flower fold die for the big shot. I bought some material in several different color combinations and this one caught my eye first! I used two different patterned material and some tulle for this flower. I layered each size of the flower twice, then a layer of tulle between the next size and finally an old button in my stash. Not sure if I like it centered on the hat or on the side...what do you think?

gift bag

Goodmorning stampers,
Today I have this beautiful gift bag for you! Remember the cute christmas tree I showed a few days ago...well this is the wrapping for it. I am so in love with the snowflake die and these colors just make me think of snuggling in a blanket by the fire watching the snow come down. (Hey, a girl from Southern California can dream right!)
Anyhoo, I used a large kraft bag (found in my stach of I'll use this someday!) a full 81/2x11" sheet of whisper white paper stamped randomly with snowflakes and holiday wishes
a strip of bashful blue scalloped at the bottom. Then I cut out some snowflakes and added scallop circle kraft behind them to tie into the bag. The big snowflake used whisper white, bashful blue and kraft...the kraft is the snowflake punch x4 again to tie into the bag. Added a ornament decoration and some bling and there you have it. Oh and dont forget to do the back of the bag too!!

O' Christmas tree

Good morning stampers,
Today I have a fun project that I made for my up line's holiday meeting this weekend. I made a few of these last year and they were a big hit! They are so easy to make and come out just darling!
You will need a cone shaped Styrofoam and some sewing pins with the balls on the end. cut your DSP paper into 1" x 4" strips. Fold over your strip to make a loop. Start layering the paper from the bottom up by pushing a pin into the top overlapping slightly each piece. Once I got to the top I used a scallop circle to cover the top and added the ribbon and star. The star is punched using both the large and small star punch. Its hard to see in this picture but the big star is so saffron and the little star is layered on top in summer sun. I used champagne shimmer paint to make it sparkly and then used glue dots to adhere it to a toothpick.
Paper is Christmas cocoa DSP

Dasher jewelery

Goodmorning stampers,
Wow, these came out so beautiful, I can't even tell you! The picture really doesnt do them justice! Sometimes I just amaze myself!!!
Anyway these came from a total case from Stampin Mama
I saw here jewelry and new I just had to create some for myself.
These were made using some chipboard (I used the kraft stuff in the back of dsp) and the Dasher stamp. First I stamped the image in versemark and embossed with black EP. then I sponged on old olive, and real red. I also sponged on gold encore pad on the edges. Then I used the champagne shimmer paint. And lastly I put crystal effects completely over both front and back. It did start to bubble at the top after the last step so my suggestion would be lots of thin layers as aposed to one thick layer.

Craft area

Goodmorning stampers,
We were talking about storage at my last upline/sideline meeting. Well, I really never had one place for all of my things until a few months ago. The stuff was coming out of everywhere!!!

So my husband and I finally found a storage solution that would work for me and still be appropriate for the house. I have taken over our living room (I can probably count on one hand how many times we've actually eaten in there) But I wanted my things to be able to be put away when not in use. the solution was a cabinet from IKEA. I was able to choose what I wanted, both drawers and cabinets and the hangers for the punches are actually towel rods! This has been a miracle for me!

I love having all of my things at eye level. Now I know exactly where something is and it isnt a struggle to pull everything out to stamp.
I've even tried to organize my stamps by holiday, season, floral, etc.

And here is what my livingroom looks like when I dont have a stamping mess all over the table!!
I could actually use one more cabinet but....theres no more wall space!!

Project Tues/Stamps and Smiles

Hi there stampers,

Todays challenge for Project Tuesday at The Fresh Batch was to make a triangle card.

Stamp set: Christmas punch
paper: bashful blue, bermuda bay
snow flake big shot die and big and small tag punches. White organza ribbon and silver cord.

So I modified the card alittle to fit my current stamp sets. I like how it looks better than the original!!
Stamp set: Party Hearty
paper; more mustard, bashful blue, kraft, whisper white, dsp paper that came with the kit.
I used the pennant die to make the scallop circle and the 1 3/4" punch, 1" punch, buttons and hodgepodge hardware. More mustard ribbon and linen thread.
