Isn't this a cute card? My friend Liz sent me this card for my birthday. Gotta love good crafty friends! Thanks Liz! The flowers are cut out at the bottom!
Here is a sympathy card that I made for Sandy Hancock who's husband passed away a few weeks ago.
I have had the wood sheets for awhile now and have not done anything with them so I decided to pull them out. I also cut out my embossing folder to Imake the oval cut out. I really like the look of this! I also sponged chocolate chip ink on the embossed image so that it would stand out even more.
Stamp set:Thoughts & Prayers paper: soft suede, dusty durango, old olive I used markers to color the leaves to match the paper. Finial press embossing folder, large oval, wide oval, scallop oval punch, horizontal slot punch.
Goodmornin to ya! Today is my birthday....I know bummer right in the middle of the holidays, but now that I am (clearing my throat)older...it doesnt matter to me anymore. anyway I decided to make a card in honor of my day.
This is another new set from the occasions mini. Isnt it cute? I think it makes a really sweet childs card (or an adult still trying to be a child!)
Or if you are a scrapper it would be really cute on a zoo page.
Stamp set:Fox and Friends

This card is from a retired punch set from a few years ago. I had bought one of the new design punches to check out how they worked so I figured I had better use it!
I have seen so many beautiful wreath cards made out of this stamp that I had to try my hand at my own! Did you know this was a number 1 seller this year? I just love this stamp, it is very versatile and just gorgeous!
Goodmorning stampers, Are we all ready for this fantastic week?? Well ,my family and I are on the road on our way to my in-laws in Oregon. Lets hope the weather is o.k. and we can get through the pass!
Today I wanted to share with you a couple of pendants that I made last year for the holidays.
The first one used chipboard the tope note die large grommets. This was my favorite DSP paper because the colors were so fun!
The second one again used chipboard and some more fun DSP. this time i traced the letters from some old chipboard I had cut them out and popped them up. Then traced the letters with some stickles for the sparkle.
So now that you have started to unmount all those stamp sets, what to do with all the extra wood blocks??? This was my quandry since I started unmounting my sets last summer (before Stamping Up! gave us the wonderful option not to have the blocks at all!!! yeah!) So this is what I came up with... I originally was going to paint them and then embellish them but I ran out of time. Next best idea..cover them with paper! I used real red, old olive, chocolate chip for the base and then added some DSP. Matching ribbon and some sizzix die letters (I dont have any of ours yet) finish it off. What do you think? Now I can get busy making them for all the other holidays.
Here is another example of a gift card holder. This is my old stand by. I learned how to make these oh probably the first year I started stamping but they are still one of the best!
this is so easy peasy..... you take a A1 sized envelope and fold it in half. you can either close up the flap or leave it open. I chose to cover mine on all sides anyway so the flap didn't matter.
Place a ribbon around the outside of the folded envelope making sure its long enough to tie a bow and add decorative paper over it. On the inside I used the label punch making it alittle longer to hold the gift card. That's it!!
Here is another project my club made last weekend. I bought a bunch of these at convention last year knowing that we would make something out of them. I originally wanted to make a gift card holder but came up with the tag idea after seeing so many cute tags made with the ornament punch. I used lots of different holiday stamp sets
mostly christmas cocoa and merry moments DSP, real red, old olive, chocolate chip, soft suede, whisper white.
top note die, two tags die, ornament punch, snowflake punch, scallop circle die, oval punches, circle punches
I think this would make a very cute gift dont you?
This is a card we made at my last class. It was themed around gift cards. So I thought why couldnt I turn this cute card into a gift card! So I took the two tags die and added a slit punch at the bottom to hold the gift card and stuck it in the middle fo the hinge card...viola!! The gals all thought this was amazing!
Stamp set:Christmas punches paper: merry moments DSP, chocolate chip, whisper white scallop punch, large oval punch, brads, clear square die and polka dot ribbon
Well with this being the last week of school before winter break (yes, I will say it, Christmas break) I figured I had better get busy with some teacher gifts. I am still trying to use up my retired DSP paper. I truly am a horder and it is still coming out my ears!
Anyway, I used the butterfly die, daisy die, leaf die, some oval punches, large grommets, clear brads and ribbon. I used modge podge to adhere the paper to the wood frame. I hope they like them!
Close up of the blue frame.
Close up of the butterfly. I ran the cut out butterflies through the embossing folders to get this raised look.
Here are some gift tags or tree ornaments. the card on the right uses the merry moments DSP and I ran out of it so the other two used a stamp from the Pines stamp set. I also used the christmas punch stamp set. The paper is old olive, real red, very vanilla
Here is my new obsession! At my downline/sideline meeting one of my fellow demonstrators made the most darling beanie and pinned a fabric flower die to it. Well, me being me, I just had to go make some of my own!
I have been making them right and left with all different colors! It is so addicting!!
This is the easiest thing to make too, you use a krafty loom ,kind of like when you were a kid and made pot holders, its the same concept.
The flowers are double layered and inbetween each layer is a piece of tulle to add some fullness.
Here is another christmas card!! I guess I will have to be moving on to Valentines day soon!! Isnt this a pretty card? I love the embossing folders!! They made such a beautiful impression. Wait until you see the new ones coming out in the occasions mini!!!
Stamp set: Tree Trimmings, Christmas punch paper: real red. whisper white, christmas cocoa DSP petals a plenty embossing folder silver cord, white organza ribbon
I am having so much fun making these! Here is another flower made from misc material and some tulle. I layered the 3 smaller dies and bunched up the tulle inbetween each layer to make it alittle more fluffy.
Todays card is a sample of me trying to use up some of my scraps. I have a big basket full of pieces that I just know I will use someday!!! I know...we all have one!
Stamp set:Full of life
Paper: misc retired dsp pack, whisper white, almost amethist
scallop oval die, swirl texturz plate
To get this affect you just need to sand down the embossed image and the white will show!
Isnt this the cutest! This ornament punch is so versatile..I have seen people use it for so many different things besides just an ornament. old olive, chocolate chip, real red, merry moments DSP prettys kit, silver cord, top note die and chocolate chip ribbon
Are your bellies still full?? Did you eat lots of turkey and pumpkin pie?
Todays card I made for my wonderful husband to thank him for just being him! He is a big outdoorsmen, loves to fish and would be very happy living in a cabin in the mountains...so here is his "vacation home".
I used chocolate chip, close to cocoa and whisper white paper
Stamp set: Backwoods and teeny tiny wishes
I masked the moon using the 1 1/4 punch then brayered the sky and the grass/ground. The tree in the forground is cut out and popped up for more depth.
Look at all these cards! These are all the cards I mailed out to my friends and family this week.
Today is a day to reflect on what we are thankful for....
I am so thankful for my family. That we are all healthy and happy. For my husband who is always so supportive of my stamping obsession! For my friends who put up with me and my quirks and support me anyway. And for my fellow stampers who always amaze me with their talent and creativity.
After seeing all the creative ways all you crafty stampers have been using the embossing folders, I decided to play alittle myself.
I also used a nontraditional color since I seem to be using alot of red and green lately.
I used bermuda bay and whisper white cardstock.
I used the petals a plenty embossing folder on alittle under half of the card and then I also ran my ornaments through with the same folder. I embossed the sentiment with white EP and added some white taffeta ribbon and silver cord.
This was a very easy card to make and is very pretty to look at!
Yesterday I showed you the cards we made at my club last weekend. I wanted to highlight this card. I absolutely love this fold. I received a swap at convention this year using this fold and it is so fun!
I used some retired DSP that I still have around. Along with real red, bordering blue and whisper white
I used the snowflake die for the big shot and also the snowflake punch. I added a build a brad to the center.
Here are the projects that my hostess club made over the weekend. Arent they pretty! I have a wonderful group of women who have been coming every month for over 4 years now. Love ya ladies!!!
A few of these cards were samples I received at convention this year. I was very impressed with all of my swaps this year. The creativity is amazing!
Well today I thought I would post something other than a holiday card!!
The way I'm going I will be working on Valentines by December!
Anyway I made this tile into a dry erase board. My club will be making these tonight for one of our projects!
Anyway, just stamp the tile in whatever design you may like and then use clear embossing powder over the top of it. Bake for 10 minutes.
Attach some ribbon to hold the marker and walla! I put mine on a photo holder but you could also put some felt on the bottom and lay it flat, or add a long piece of ribbon at the top to hang it on a wall.
hint: only erase around the image...and don't use water,I did have some of the color come off when I cleaned my writing. but only in the spots where the embossing powder did not stick.
Today's card is another holiday card. I started by using the scalloped circle die. You can make a card using this die by placing the paper just under the top of the scallops on one side.
stamps: Delightful decorations, many merry messages paper: old olive, real red, merry moments DSP ornament punch, 3/4" punch gold cord, gingham red ribbon
Todays card is another holiday card...I cant seem to get them out of my head! I am just loving this color combination! This was a sketch challenge for stamps and smiles.
Stamp set:delightful decorations, many merry messages, christmas punch paper:Going grey, bashful blue, whisper white petals a plenty embossing folder, polka dots embossing folder, ornament punch, boho blossoms punch white organza ribbon, silver cord, playground buttons
Today I have made some adorable flower pins using the flower fold die for the big shot. I bought some material in several different color combinations and this one caught my eye first! I used two different patterned material and some tulle for this flower. I layered each size of the flower twice, then a layer of tulle between the next size and finally an old button in my stash. Not sure if I like it centered on the hat or on the side...what do you think?
I am a SAH mom of 3 beautiful children and one amazing husband! I have been a crafter for over 15 years and a Stampin Up! demonstrator since 04'. I love stamping and scrapbooking and sharing what I love with all of my friends!
